The company UPB holding has started to build a new engineering and metalwork plant in Ghrobinyas district. The plant’s area will be about 4 thousand square meters. But primary costs (about 1.6-1.8 million lats) will be covered by the holding’s internal resources.
There already exists one the holding’s UPB plant on the territory in Ghrobinyas district. It is metal construction structures manufacturer RK Metāls. The news plant is intended to expand the segment with the help of metal work. These two objects are located nearby to each other, therefore shared warehouse network lets to optimize logistic and administrative costs.
It is planned to be opened the first stage of the manufacture in this summer. The equipment is already ordered at European manufacturers. The plant is going to produce constituent elements of various kinds. About one third of production is going to be used by the holding UPB. According to the company’s president Uldis Pilens, the plants clients could be representatives of different kinds of industry sectors – building materials manufacturers, furniture and automobile makers, energetic industrial.
